"But it’s important to remember that these scandals relate to priests who offended decades ago." Just yesterday, I read about an abuse case that involved the transfer and promotion of a priest. The bishop involved passed away in 2005. One thing I know about Catholics, is that we keep accurate records. The church has no justification for not removing all those involved in sheltering abusers. It is a true sin.
I believe that the Bible is God's Word and as such is both reliable and authoritative, and I have sought to enable people to know God and to love, serve, and enjoy him. To this end, I served as an active pastor for 27 years and then retired in 2009. I am a priest in good standing in the Anglican Church in North America. I serve as a supply priest, a spiritual director, and as one of three Bishop's Chaplains for Clergy Care to support our clergy who are in active parish ministry.
I am married and have two grown children, one in Massachusetts, and the other in Pennsylvania. Each is married, and we have seven grandchildren, five girls and two boys.
